Sydney grew up in Colorado Springs, CO, but she has lived on Hawai’i Island for the last 4 years. She made the move to the Big Island to study Marine Science at the University of Hawai’i at Hilo. During her time at UH Hilo, she took a special interest in scientific diving and marine debris management. Recently graduated, she is excited to be a part of the Kona Honu Divers team in between her bachelor’s and master’s degrees. The dive shop environment fosters ocean curiosity and she loves to learn new things from guests and colleagues alike.
