The Honu One
The Honu One is our spacious 46′ custom built Newton Dive Special for your diving or snorkeling pleasure. Our morning private charter can accommodate up to 18 divers or 30 snorkelers and includes 3 crew members. The Honu One has plenty of shade, a marine head, a hot water shower, snacks, filtered water, and plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the charter. This is the perfect boat for a family reunion, wedding party, or dive group. A private charter on the Honu One is a 5hr charter that starts at 7:45am and includes 2 dives for scuba charters. There are options for different start times, 3 tank, or manta charters. Please inquire for details and availability.

Why the Honu One?
The Honu One is Kona’s nicest and most comfortable scuba diving boat. It is purpose built for scuba diving and so it is ideal for taking groups of divers to one of the hundreds of dive sites near Kona. The Honu One is Coast guard certified to carry 46 passengers plus crew. Its spacious deck area allows for multiple viewing spots.
Choose to relax under the protective cover of the main cabin or climb to the upper deck lounge where you can hang out and converse with the captain or other divers with a view of the ocean around you. Venture out onto the bow where the view is almost 360 degrees and you’ll have the best chance of seeing whales or other creatures.
Included in your charter are snacks, but if you’d like to bring food or drinks then you’re welcome to do so. We can also provide food for lunch or dinner.
What can we do on this private boat charter?
Take this boat to Kealakekua bay, home to the Captain Cook monument and snorkel at Big Island’s best snorkeling site. Or head up north to touch of grey and scuba dive with baby grey reef sharks. The possibilities are as endless as the coastline. Whale-watch fron the top deck or simply visit Kona’s nicest beach at makalawena and snorkel the coral fields of LAX dive site.
