Are you a full-time resident of Kailua-Kona and love diving? Our dive club, the Honu Ohana, gives you opportunities to explore local dive sites, find new dive buddies, and score on some great product and experience benefits. Join us for our exclusive Honu Ohana dive-days from our boats and get to know the Kona Honu Crew! Full-Time Residents of Hawaii Island that can provide a Big Island driver’s license, Big Island voter registration card, and/or proof of local employment.

Included in your annual $99 membership is:

  • FREE Swag!  KHD Logo Microfiber towel or T-shirt – at time of sign up
  • 50% off stand-by spots on all dive charters
    • You may call our shop to put yourself on the standby list for a specific charter up to two weeks in advance.  Feel free to ask what number you are on the list
    • We will call the ohana member first on the list and work our way down as space permits.  If you:
      • Accept – you are confirmed for the charter and the spot is yours!
      • Decline – we will move on to the next member on the list
      • Don’t answer – we will leave a message if you have voicemail set up.  If you call back and the spots are still available they are all yours.  Please note the message is notifying you of the availability.  You’ll need to call back to confirm and will not be automatically added to the charter
      • The shop staff will call through the list until the spots are filled – if you don’t get a call it means there weren’t any spots available
  • 20% off guaranteed space on local morning charters
  • 15% off guaranteed space on manta charters
  • 15% off guaranteed on advanced charters
  • 10% off guaranteed space on the black water
  • 10% off for friends and family (up to 4 per reservation, restrictions apply)
  • Organized Honu Ohana boat dive days

  • $3.50 Air fills with your own tank ($35 – 10 punch fill card)
