MJ grew up in landlocked Idaho but has always had a deep love and respect for the ocean. She began diving when she was 16 and continued her training throughout college and at her first job diving for the Navy Marine Mammal Program. After moving to Kona to pursue her marine biology career, she doubles working for Kona Honu thoroughly enjoying all the incredible wildlife while educating customers on the local flora and fauna.
