Your Group Leaders
Jeff and Pippa of Kona Honu Divers, have been working in the Dive industry for almost 20 years. We are both PADI Instructors with 1000’s of dives at all the best locations around the world.
While working in the Scuba Industry and traveling extensively, we have developed many connections at the best diving locations across the planet. We make it a point to never take a group to a destination/resort/liveaboard that we have not personally vetted, as we want to be able to set realistic expectations for our guests. While some group trip leaders consider themselves to be on vacation, Jeff & Pippa both consider themselves to be working while on the trip. Guests can relax and get the most of their vacation while we handle logistics and any issues that might arise behind the scenes. It’s easy to be a great trip leader when everything is going well, but true leaders shine when problems arise, and unfortunately at times they do. Canceled flights, missed connections, malfunctioning gear, lost luggage….we are there to assist you through it all.
- Our guests’ safety is always our priority. As instructors, one of us will go with each group of divers to act as an additional safety layer during the dives.
- Being a certified tech for most of the major gear companies, Jeff travels with a full set of scuba tools and spare parts (including batteries), and he is always ready and willing to assist with any gear problems.
- With an eye for macro, we both also act as addition spotters / guides during our guest’s dives
- Being extremely passionate about Fish and Invertebrate ID, we always travel with the latest and greatest ID books so we can assist our guests (especially photographers) identify their subjects.
